Q & A with Peter Robinson, Managing Director of Stone Willy's Pizza

Breaking New Pixels 1 At the recent Fry show, we managed to have a few words with Managing Director Peter Robinson, about all things pizza at the recent Fry Trade show:

How is 2010 for you so far?

Very busy! This is our 5th trade show of the year and we've got 15 locations to open before the end of June. We've had a lot of new users start in Cornwall and Devon after the Expo-West Catering shows, so i am hoping for a busy day today!

What are you focusing on at the Fry Show?

This is the first time we have brought 3 different TurboChefs to any trade show. We now have a range of packages featuring 3 great TurboChef ovens to customers really can choose the oven that's most appropriate for them. 2010 has seen the introduction of the new TurboChef High H Batch 2 Oven and we shall be installing the first one in the UK into a Chip shop in May- selling just 2 pizzas per day covers costs of finance - the return on investment is fantastic.

What is your outlook for the next few months?

It should be much more positive than last Summer. The World Cup is always a great time for pizza sales and we've a lot of customers wanting to be open before the kick off. We shall be providing all our customers with some great Point of Sale material to boost sales and keep interest in the product at a high level. 

We are also rolling out Stone Willy's Pizza in Ireland, so we have a lot to look forward to.

As this is the one of the main UK shows for Fish & Chip shops, are you seeing more interest from the sector?

Very much so. The price of fish has been very turbulent in recent months and i think chip shop owners are looking at adding revenue streams to generate extra profits. Stone Willy's Pizza is now in over 100 chip shops and the system offers great profits with very little fuss. Stone Willy's Pizza gives shops an extra profit stream rather than saturating a shops standard weekly sales - and all from selling just a few pizzas per day.
