Stone Willy's Pizza opens in Havant, Portsmouth
Featured in the current issue of Fryer and Fast Food is Dee Sahota, owner of Sam's Chippy in Havant, Portsmouth.
Dee has bee serving Stone Willy's Pizza since the start of the year and is thrilled with the first few months "I've been getting a great reaction from my customers. The pizzas are really popular and the hot wraps fly out of the door!"
Dee says in one week he sold 288 hot wraps - a record for any Stone Willy's Pizza operator. The hot wraps are part of our standard food offering which utilise many of the products from the pizza line. Not only do they cook in 50 seconds but they offer gross margins of over 75% when priced at only £2.79.
"They are really easy to make and can be prepped in advance, bringing them out when we need them" says Dee with his eyes firmly focused on increasing sales even further. "With the World Cup on the horizon, we know we will be selling a lot of pizzas as people gather around the TV, but with the TurboChef i5, we can cook up to 40 x 12" pizzas per hour so i'm pretty confident we'll cope...i hope!"
